Simon Grayling
Registered Osteopath
Specialised in Paediatric, Pre/Postnatal and General Osteopathy

I love being an osteopath and I have been practising for over 20 years, graduating from the British School of Osteopathy in 2005, followed by a Master’s in Paediatrics from the Osteopathic Centre for Children and the University of Hertfordshire in 2009.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of treating people of all ages, from premature babies to patients in their nineties. I primarily use structural and cranial techniques, drawing on my experience and wider life skills to tailor treatment to each individual. What I find most rewarding is helping people feel better and giving them the time and attention they deserve.
Some people come to me once with a specific problem, while others return over the years for ongoing care or when something new arises. I really enjoy getting to know people and building those longer-term relationships. The better I understand someone, the more individual and focused their treatment can become.
Paediatrics is a particular passion of mine, from babies and children through to adolescents, as well as supporting women during and after their pregnancies. It was actually the birth of my first daughter that inspired me to train as an osteopath. Since 2015, I’ve also been a clinical tutor at the Osteopathic Centre for Children, where I teach postgraduate students about osteopathy and children’s health. I love being able to share my experience and enthusiasm with the next generation of osteopaths.
Although I have a particular interest in treating babies and children, I also really enjoy the variety of adult patients I see and the wide range of problems they bring. After more than 20 years, I still get a great deal of satisfaction from helping people of all ages feel more comfortable, move more freely and get back to doing the things they enjoy.
When I’m not working, I enjoy walking, cooking, reading, spending time with my family (I have three children) and going on campervan adventures.

I’m almost 70 and have seen numerous osteopaths over the years due to a chronic back problem. Simon Grayling is the first to fully explain my problem and to create a positive treatment plan. Can’t recommend highly enough!

I was 6 weeks into trying to breastfeed my newborn, struggling with lots of pain from a bad latch despite lots of support from breastfeeding counsellors. I was having to stop and resort to the exhasting cycle of pumping and bottle feeding instead on a near daily basis. Cranial osteopathy was suggested to me a few times and a friend recommended SW19 practice. We saw Simon twice. We are now at 9 weeks and I have still not had to stop breastfeeding again since the date of our first visit. I would have definitely stopped breastfeeding by now without this successful change. Thank you Simon!

Simon is fantastic I have compleat faith in his ability to work his magic, on those occasions when I am in need of his assistance on my lower back.
