Visceral Osteopathy

Gentle, specialist care for your digestive and pelvic health.

What is visceral osteopathy?

Most osteopaths specialise in muscles, joints, and the nervous system. Visceral osteopaths go further — training to work with the fascia and soft tissues surrounding the organs of the abdomen and chest. Using a combination of gentle and more direct techniques, visceral osteopathy aims to restore normal movement, motility, and drainage to the affected regions.

Visceral osteopathy is a postgraduate specialisation — it goes well beyond standard osteopathic training. Yan-Kei has trained with the Barral Institute, the internationally recognised authority in visceral manipulation, which means you're in the hands of someone with a genuine depth of expertise in this area.

Why specialist training matters

If you've been experiencing gut, chest, or pelvic discomfort and your GP has ruled out anything that needs further investigation, you may have been left without much guidance beyond medication or managing the symptoms. Visceral osteopathy is often the missing piece for patients who've been managing symptoms without much relief. Many people notice a significant improvement after just a few sessions.
